Since 1997 Dewey Beach Surf Shop has been hosting renowned skim camps.  As we kickoff our 14th  season we proudly introduce an addition to the camp... Surfing!  Simply put, if the Surf's up - we surf!   Surf's out - we skim!  The best of both is now included in one camp along with games, swimming, body boarding and special guests.  With professional instructors, we offer instruction for any level from the first timer to the advanced and intermediate.  Our low ratio of counselors to campers allows for more individualized attention to the skill needs of each camper.  While the children enjoy skimming and surfing, parents are able to spend a relaxing day on the beach. Skim, Surf, Live... Camps are held Monday through Thursday 9am until 3pm and Friday 9am until 1pm.  DBSS will provide food and drinks from local restaurants, with a different variety each week.  If needed, DBSS will provide a board for camp participation.  Campers can enjoy the shade when needed under our tents. Each Friday there will be a competition to simulate a UST formatted contest.  Campers will not only learn the fundamentals of contests, but will also receive prizes for the top four winners in each age division.  Parents and friends are invited to enjoy this contest and to cheer on their favorite contestants.  Come see why KIDS LOVE OUR CAMPS! Location, Location, Location! Camp locations will be held where the best riding conditions are that day.  Locations are all within ten miles of each other, most at Delaware State Parks.  The location will be announced the night before or early the morning of camp at Dewey Beach Surf Shop.
