Daily Board Rentals- Surfboards and Skimboards

☼ Boards are available on a first-come-first-served basis

☼ We do not take reservations

  ☼ A daily rental is considered valid for 24 hours or open to close (10am - 9pm), whichever you prefer

☼ We do not offer discounts for multiple days/boards booked

☼ We do not provide car transport straps for surfboard rentals, but we do have them for sale in our shop

☼ We cannot secure your boards to your car for you

Surf Rentals - $50 per board per day

☼ 9ft soft top surfboards

☼ Waxed with leash attached

☼ We do not rent fiberglass/epoxy surfboards for safety and liability reasons

Skimboard Rentals - $40 per board per day

☼ Proper sizing for riders varies due to height, weight and experience

☼ The "sweet spot" for skimboard sizing is anywhere from your mid-chest to just below your chin

☼ Weight is a more critical factor for board volume and floatation- heavier riders should size up

What do I need to rent a board?

☼ Valid ID + credit card required

☼ Contact phone number required 

☼ Full payment up front

☼ Pay by card or with cash

☼ Vehicle transportation + straps

Rental Process

☼ We take a photo of your valid ID + credit card on our shop phone as collateral until your return our board(s)

☼ The photo of your credentials will be deleted upon return of the board(s)

☼ Returned rental boards can be placed on the white board rack outside of Dewey Beach Surf Shop

☼ Please do not leave rental boards on the board rack if the shop is closed

Please be aware that surfing and skim boarding is not always allowed in Dewey Beach/within walking distance of our shop. This is due to beach crowding and lifeguard regulations.

Surfing and skim boarding are allowed in Dewey Beach before 10am and after 5pm.

The closest surfing beach to Dewey Beach Surf Shop is on the North side of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.
